Vanesa holds Bachelor's degrees in Accounting & Finance, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Her background includes experience in audit and corporate accounting, providing her with a well-rounded perspective that benefits the clients she serves.

Vanesa handles tax preparation, tax review and notes, financial statement preparation, and bookkeeping for client accounts. She is currently pursuing her CPA licensure and combines her education with hands-on experience to deliver detail-oriented financial reporting and reliable accounting services.

Kristen holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and prepares tax returns, financial statements, and supports bookkeeping across client accounts. She brings careful attention to detail and consistent communication to every engagement she supports.

Kyla Childers is an Accounting Associate with Total Balance Taxes and Consulting. She specializes in personal and business tax preparation and has a passion for small businesses and tax saving strategies. Kyla studied at Idaho State University where she received a bachelor's of business administration in accounting and marketing, and she is currently working towards becoming a CPA so she can better represent clients. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, skiing, and making pottery.

Teresa holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University–Idaho and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo. She recently returned to school and has completed all the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exams and is currently preparing to take the exams. Teresa has extensive experience working with small businesses. For many years, she and her husband owned and operated a computer consulting business. She has also provided bookkeeping services for several small businesses, including a charter school and construction companies. Through these experiences, she has gained firsthand knowledge of how important accurate and well-maintained financial records are to the success of a business. Teresa has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in helping businesses maintain accurate, organized financial records. She is QuickBooks and Excel certified and is committed to providing dependable and professional accounting services. Outside of work, Teresa and her husband enjoy spending time with their seven children and seven grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano and teaching children through her church.

Markus Wardrop serves as a Staff Accountant at Total Balance Tax & Consulting, where he focuses on delivering clean, accurate bookkeeping and thorough tax preparation to ensure small-business owners always know exactly where their finances stand.

Before committing to a career in accounting, Markus spent several years building a strong professional foundation in logistics, sales, and account management. He brought that real-world business insight and client-first dedication into his academic and professional accounting pursuits, relocating to Rexburg to complete his accounting degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho with the ultimate goal of earning his CPA license.

At Total Balance, Markus combines his background in business operations with technical expertise in cloud accounting platforms and tax compliance. He is dedicated to maintaining flawless financial records and providing the reliable, day-to-day support that helps clients confidently manage their businesses.

Kyle holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and specializes in bookkeeping, managing day-to-day transaction categorization, account reconciliations, and record maintenance for client accounts. His consistent, thorough approach gives the broader team the clean financial data they need to prepare accurate returns and statements.
